On Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., people can attend a free information session at the Paul Lychak Evelyn Community Hall regarding the topic of Islam.
Hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, the session is in response to the since cancelled plans of the Dove World Outreach Center in Florida to burn a Holy Qur'an.
"We believe that burning any religious scripture is directly contrary to the teachings of not just Christianity, but of all the world's major religions," they wrote in a press release.
Questions are welcomed on not just the scripture burning but on other questions relating to Islam.
The theme of the event is "Islam: Religion of Peace or Terror."
