For an Ahmadi Muslim freezing cold is no deterrence when it’s about furthering the message of loyalty to the country and peace in the community.
This as a continuation of the mission started 120 years ago by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India.
Once again some128 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are distributing Muslims for Loyalty Fliers at 16 Metro Stations in Washington, DC.
Their goal is to handout 100,000 Fliers individually between 6:30 am to about 10:00 am today as the people move around for work.
In the USA, “this is the ongoing and evolving Muslims for Peace Campaign that was started in May 2010,” says Dr. Waseem Sayed, spokesperson for the Ahmadiyya Mulsim Comminity, USA. “It has already caused our message to reach some 60 million Americans over the last 9 months.”
The aim of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Dr Sayed says, “is to take this message to every American and to make sure that Muslim youth understand and live this message of Islam that is essential to promote peace and establish peace all over the world.”
The volunteers hail from Baltimore, N. Virginia, South Virginia, Central Virginia, Potomac, Silver Spring, Laurel and Washington, DC chapters.
The Muslims for Peace Campaign will hold a press conference at the National Press Club at 1:00 PM today.
Later the Campaign will move to Universities and World Affairs Councils all across the US.
Speakers from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community plan to engage their fellow Americans in discussions around their core message that Islam teaches Muslims to be loyalty citizens wherever they reside.
