In the weekly "Meet a Muslim" events held by the Portland chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC), we show that there is no justification for terrorism found in the Holy Quran.

Still we are asked, "Why then do these so-called Muslims commit such acts and how can you prevent it?" The answer to prevention is a strong Muslim identity. It is important to know how to practice true Islam, a religion of peace, as it was practiced by the Holy Prophet of Islam (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).

In the coming weekend of July 28-30, the AMC in the United Kingdom will hold its 51st Annual Convention. This convention is an opportunity for Ahmadi Muslims and guests from all across the world to convene in one location in the pursuit of spiritual advancement, learning, and global peace.

The Khalifa of AMC, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, will be present at this convention and has stated on countless occasions, "Those who shed the blood of the innocent, have nothing to do with Islam." The AMC has been holding such annual conventions worldwide, including here in the United States, where the AMC recently held their 69th convention.

It is my hope and prayer that more people will come to see Islam in its true light - "Love for All, Hatred for None" as is the AMC's slogan-and not that of terrorists, who cast Islam in the utmost disgraceful manner.
