Just as for Christians there is the Bible, so for Muslims is the Koran as the Holy Scripture, which regulates among other things beliefs and ethical questions.

About 40 visitors came to the Gemerener Scherenberghalle to attend the lecture "Stop the terror - what does Islam really teach?" that the youth organization of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamat (AMJ), an Islamic reform community, had organized.

In Germany more than 40,000 members belong to the Ahmadiyya faith community and it is the first Islamic community to have obtained the status of a corporation under public law.

According to the community in Gemünden, the town has a long tradition as a place for refugees and asylum seekers and the first families came from Pakistan more than 30 years ago because they were persecuted in their home country as followers of the Ahmadiyya faith.

There are currently ten families of this faith in the Gemuen community, founded in 2012, and its president is Waqas Ahmad.

Taha Ijaz from the youth organization of the AMJ from Würzburg greeted the guests. Ijaz was born and grew up in Würzburg. He explained that his organization was a part of the civil society and initiated numerous projects in favor of relief organizations or society. The road congestion at the turn of the year, as is also carried out in Gemünden, is also part of it.

After international terrorism reached a sad climax with attacks in London, Kabul, Manchester and before in Berlin, the youth organization, which sharply condemned violence in the name of religion, had launched a nationwide information campaign. Perverted Islamic sources of jihad propagated by the terrorist organizations are to be unmasked. In his three-hour talk, Daud Ata presented the background and interpretations to be found in the Koran and in the history of the youth organization of Hamburg on the basis of the keywords "terror", "jihad" and "blasphemy".

Just as for Christians there is the Bible, so for Muslims is the Koran as the Holy Scripture, which regulates among other things beliefs and ethical questions. Equally comparable is the interpretation of the traditions, which can be interpreted differently by different faiths.

Sharia is abused

The speaker explained the statements in detail and approached the visitors' questions in a personal conversation. He explained that the often cited Shari'ah is only the right and the summary of all the commands of Islam, and that the concept of terrorists is often misused for violence. Unfortunately, this is often not presented differently in the media. After the lecture, the Ahmadiyya community in Gemda, served Pakistani specialties and the visitors were also able to get information about Islam about the Islam and take special literature home with them.
