Fiji: Ahmadiyya Youth, Humanity First join in helping flood victims

The Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Fiji is working in conjunction with Humanity First, an International Voluntary and Charity organization founded by the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, the youth wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat catered lunch and dinner for over 270 flood stricken people whose houses and belongings are all underwater.

The flood victim have been taking shelter at the St. Andrews Primary School in Nadi since the 23rd of January.

“The number of people is still increasing as the water levels rise tremendously,” said Ashfaaq Ahmad Khan, national president of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, Fiji.

“The evacuees at the St. Andrews Primary School have nothing much with them in terms of food and clothing,” Ashfaaq Ahmad Khan added.

The Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Fiji is working in conjunction with Humanity First, an International Voluntary and Charity organization founded by the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The aim of Humanity First, explains their website, "is to relieve suffering caused by natural disaster and human conflict, promote peace and understanding, and strengthen people’s capacity to help themselves."

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community firmly believes that “Service to Mankind is Service to God” as this is the motto of Humanity First International.
