Pandeglang (via ANTARA News) - Pandeglang district police continue to oversee the activities of the Ahmadiyah congregation, and they were required to report when doing activities.

"In Pandeglang Ahmadiyah religious activity is banned, therefore we keep an eye on them," said Head of Ops Pandeglang Police Commissioner Arif Rahman in Pandeglang, Banten, on Sunday.

Supervision, he said, is done to anticipate unwanted things, when  Ahmadiyah do a religious activity.
According to him, Ahmadiyah must do their religious activity outside the Pnadeglang region, such as Lebak or Cilegon.

"We also continue to urge them to comply with the ban," he said.

He also stated that if the Ahmadiyah will perform activities such as agriculture and others, they must report it to the Police Pandeglang.

"They are required to report, and so far they have complied with those obligations," he said.

Regarding the number of Ahmadiyah in Pandeglang, according to him, are relatively few and scattered in several districts, such as Cikeudal, Cikeusik and Karangtanjung.

Pandeglang Regent Erwan Kurtubi declared Ahmadis are prohibited from conducting their belief or spread their belief in the area.

"I have issued regulations related to banning Ahmadiyah's activities by regent, and is still valid," he said.
However, the regents do not expect people to act alone if they know that there is  Ahmadiyya activities since people tend to act anarchy.

"If someone knows of their(ahmadiyya) activities, just report it to the authorities," he said.
Erwan also stated, in Pandeglang many religious sects who claim Islam, but it is questionable according to Sharia law.

"In fact there are groups who claim to be followers of Islam Nyi Roro Kidul (sea goddess)  in the south, so did many religious sects in our area," he said.

Regent expect  religious leaders and local clerics to continue to restore the deviant teaching into the true teachings of this religion.

"They are all our brothers not to be despised, but they needs to be guided so they will return to the true teachings," he said.
