All Muslims believe in the Second Coming of Jesus, but only one denomination believes that Second Coming has already taken place. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was started in 1889 by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) who proclaimed that he was appointed by God as the awaited Second Advent of the Promised Messiah, as well as the Imam Mahdi (Guided One). Ahmad inaugurated his Community with 40 pious souls in the Punjab in Northern India 125 years ago this March 23rd, and now there are tens of millions of Ahmadi Muslims in more than 200 countries of the world.

The Southern California chapters of the Ahmadiyya Community will be holding their annual “Promised Messiah Day” celebration this Sunday from 11am-1pm at the Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino at 11941 Ramona Ave. The public is cordially invited to attend this enlightening free event. Lunch will be served afterwards and guests can meet the members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and learn more about Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, his teachings and claims, and the history and accomplishments of his Community.

The event will feature speeches on topics such as: The Claims and Teachings of the Promised Messiah, Life Sketch of the Promised Messiah, The Promised Messiah: a Beacon of Truth, The Morals of the Promised Messiah, The Promised Messiah’s Message to Contemporary Society, and the concluding address by Imam Shamshad A. Nasir giving an overview of the Promised Messiah’s mission and his invaluable reformation of Islam.
