Sri Lanka: Ahmadiyya Delegation Meets President Srisena, Presents Quran Sinhala Translation


While presenting the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the President, the Ahmadiyya leader pointed out that the gift is a memento marking the Ahmadiyya centenary in Sri Lanka

A 3-member delegation comprising Mr. A.H. Nasir Ahmad, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Sri Lanka (AMJSL), Moulavi A.B.Musthaq Ahmad, Chief Missionary (AMJSL) and Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary (AMJSL) met His Excellency Maithripala Srisena -  President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, at Presidential Secretariat on 11 December 2015, to gift him Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation.

The AMJSL National President briefed President Srisena about the centenary of the establishment of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Sri Lanka and informed him that the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation is being published to mark this event. He added that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at is established in 207 countries around the globe and has a worldwide leader.

While presenting the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the President, the Ahmadiyya leader pointed out that the gift is a memento marking the Ahmadiyya centenary in Sri Lanka

The books – Holy Prophet Muhammad, Sinhala Translation of ‘The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam, World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace and peace Message in English and Sinhala were  presented to President.

The President was apraised about the obstacles in reaching Jama’at news and views as well as it's voices to the general public through media, due to the hurdles by the main stream Muslims in the country. On hearing this, President himself understood that Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at is a sect in Islam.
