Silver Spring, MD - (Ahmadiyya Times), October 17, 2009. AlIslam.org, the official website of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, recently introduced a web-based utility which offers local salat timings for the geographical areas where a user / client computer is located. The utility is designed to automatically play Adhan (call to prayers) at each appropriate salat time.
The utility is designed with users' convenience in mind where only if the browser window with alislam.org/adhan web-page is left open, the users' personal computer will play the Adhan for each salat.
The web page presenting the Adhan utility is softly designed to avoid any visual distractions and simply remind the user about the salat time with Adhan sound.
AlIslam.org offers a large repository of up-to-date information about Islam and others religions. The website has gained notoriety in offering suitable materials for comparative religious studies.
