Muslim women
celebrated a religious festival by donating around £500 of kit to a
care home – much to the delight of the people who live there.
The Bracknell branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Associaion (AMWA) donated duvets, mugs, flannels, footstools and more to the Heathlands Care Home in Crossfell, Wildridings, on Wednesday last week to celebrate Eid.
Qudoos Bhatti, secretary for public education for AMWA, said: “Other office holders and I had decided to present a gift to an organisation within social services in celebration of our Eid festival Eid-ul-Adha – the second Eid of the year.
“Heathlands Residential Care Home was chosen.”
