An Ahmadi Mr. Naseer Ahmad Butt, 52, was martyred for his faith in Faisalabad.
The murder took place in Samanabad Area on Wednesday afternoon around 12:40 PM local time.
According to sources, soon after Mr Butt reached his Fruit Shop, a Motorcyclist wearing dark Helmet stopped in front of his shop and shot him five times hitting him in the chest, neck and face.
Naseer Butt succumbed to his injuries before receiving any medical aid.
He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.
Mr. Butt is the third Ahmadi Muslim killed during holy month of Ramadhan and fourth in Faisalabad alone this year.
It is also important to note that Majlis Tahaffaz Khatam-e-Nubuwwat, an organization violently opposed to the Ahmadi Muslims, celebrated Khatame Nabuwwat day just a day earlier. The day is celebrated by the organization and many extremist clerics to commemorate the declaration of Ahmadis as non-Muslim 36 years ago in September 1974.
Khatame Nabuwwat day is well known for fiery speeches and calls are made for murders of Ahmadis. The day is celebrated all over Pakistan in every nook and corner.
