To the Editor:
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and a supporter of Muslims for Peace, I would like to sincerely thank my fellow Americans for their support against the recently planned “Burn a Koran Day.”
To see people stick to their principles despite all the current problems is truly heartwarming. I am very grateful to live in a country that gives rights to everyone, regardless of their religion. Thank you for this, and I will never forget it.

I am tremendously grateful to the millions of Americans who spoke out against the "Burn a Quran Day." Despite all the emotions surrounding 9/11, Americans did not compromise their principles. Defending religious tolerance and freedom is an integral part of the American spirit.
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and a strong supporter of the "Muslims for Peace" campaign (www.muslimsforpeace.org), I sincerely thank Americans for standing up and defending the sanctity of others' beliefs.
