Sir: Kudos to Marvi Sirmed who writes passionately about the cancer that continues to metastasise and is slowly eating away Pakistani society (‘No to blasphemy laws’, Daily Times, November 23, 2010).
One would hope that the so-called leaders are paying attention to such free and valuable advice. The so-called religious laws have failed in Pakistan, not because the laws are bad but because the people’s mindset remains hostage to the medieval mullahs.
I agree with Marvi 100 percent that these stupid laws have to be rooted out before they (these laws) root the country out.
