Zion, USA: Workshop | Extremism in Islam and Christianity

Representatives from area churches and the Ahmadiyya Muslim community will lead the workshops that will include presentations, small group discussions and opportunities for further dialogue.

Zion, IL - Workshop: The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Zion, with United Protestant Church of Grayslake and neighboring Christian leaders, will host its second workshop in a series of dialogues designed to better understand and appreciate the diverse understandings found within the two faith communities.

 The workshop will take place on August 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Zion Mission House, 2103 Gabriel Ave.

Topics will include: Extremism in Islam and Christianity; the Role of Women in Religion; Misconceptions and Commonalities; and others.

Representatives from area churches and the Ahmadiyya Muslim community will lead the workshops that will include presentations, small group discussions and opportunities for further dialogue.


Though all non Muslims are always welcome, Christians are specifically invited to come to the mosque for Friday Worship Service on the day before the gathering which will be Aug. 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. as a prelude to the next days event.

Guests will be welcomed and assisted.
