DAYTON -- People are rolling up their sleeves to honor the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Dayton held their first blood drives Tuesday. The drive is for their "Muslims for Life" campaign that is being held across the country.
The religious groups say the terror attacks created suspicion of all Muslims in some American minds. They hope to show people some Muslims continue to teach peace patriotism and the sanctity of life.
"So we stood up and we start educating the American fellows that all Muslims are not like terrorists," said member Ishad Malhi.
They plan to collect 10,000 units of blood during the month of September, which can potentially save 30,000 lives.
