Trinidad: Ahmadi Muslim leader tells faithful: Return to the Quran

IN his Eid-ul-Fitr message yesterday, head of the Ahmadiyyah Muslim community called on Muslims to return to the values found in the pages of the Holy Quran.

Maulana Ibrahim bin Yaqub was speaking at the Ahmadiyya National Headquarters in Preysal, Couva as the holy month of Ramadan came to an end yesterday.

"The world of Islam is passing through a very critical period. The so-called Arab Spring, which has suddenly gushed forth and raised its ugly head in so many Muslim countries is indeed a phenomenon which was prophesied by the Holy Prophet Muhammad ...
The one who made the prophecy also provided the solution for bringing about a state of normalcy to the Muslim Umnah. First and foremost, Muslims should return to their basic values, which are enshrined in the pages of the Holy Quran," Ibrahim bin Yaqub said.

He also spoke about the month-long fasting performed by Muslim
