Lahore, Pakistan: Christian school attacked for blasphemy allegations
The school accepts students without regards to their religion and, according to WVIP, several dozen Muslim students are enrolled at the school.

A mob of Islamist extremists attacked a Christian school, Community Education Centre in Azad Town area of Lahore, in Punjab, Pakistan.
According to World Vision In Progress Foundation (WVIP), over 400 people were part of the attacking mob.
Community Education Centre is a project of Community Advance Programme Ministries (CAP) which works for the uplift of the poorest of poor in Lahore.
According to details submitted by WVIP, a local prayer leader abruptly announced from his mosque to have received an unknown call on his cell phone alleging that the staffs of the Christian school has torn the pages of the Quran, the Muslim holy book.
Within no time, WVIP says, hundred of local Muslim gathered at the main gate of school and tried to break in. However, a few Muslims succeeded in pressuring a woman working at the canteen to get the keys and they opened the gates.
The mob blocked the Main Ferozepur Road, however police reached the scene and sealed the school.
The school accepts students without regards to their religion and, according to WVIP, several dozen Muslim students are enrolled at the school.
“It is one of the best school in the locality; almost 100 Muslim children are getting free education in this Christian school and we are satisfied with the education they are providing to our children,” a local Muslim parent told WVIP legal staff.
“The school administration never tried to teach anything against Islam to our children,” the parents were further quoted to have said.
