USA: Arab group probes harrasment allegation against Michigan leader
The attorney for the 52-year-old Hamad says his client takes the allegations "very seriously." He hopes people won't "rush to judgment" and will await the investigation's findings.

Regional Director of American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee accused of harassing female staffers
DEARBORN, Mich. - A leading national advocacy group for Arab Americans has placed the longtime head of its Michigan office on leave while it investigates allegations he sexually harassed female staffers, including a current member of the state Legislature.
Imad Hamad is the regional director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC).
Those accusing Hamad include Democratic state Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who worked for the group's Dearborn office in 1998.
The attorney for the 52-year-old Hamad says his client takes the allegations "very seriously." He hopes people won't "rush to judgment" and will await the investigation's findings.
Doraid Elder, Hamad 's lawyer, also told the Associated Press that Hamad has voluntarily withdrawn from his duties running the civil rights group's Michigan office.
