Every year millions of Muslims through out the world observe fasting to endure hunger for the pleasure of God. The purpose is to promote righteousness; to attain moral and spiritual values that can be carried on for the rest of the year.
During the month of Ramadan, a Muslim’s day begins with Suhoor. Suhoor is an Arabic term referring to a meal consumed before dawn and the day ends with Iftar. Iftar is another Islamic term referring to the evening meal that breaks the fast. In between these two meals Muslims restrain themselves from eating or drinking anything.
