The Annual Boston Marathon turned into nightmare last year when two blasts killed three people and injured hundreds more. Before the dust from the explosion even cleared, heroes emerged, including a group of marathoners who kept running to donate blood at a nearby hospital. The only question on their mind was “How can I help?”

This is the question motivating those behind the 'Muslims for Life' campaign. A week before the Boston Marathon tragedy anniversary, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and its partners, including the Boston Athletic Association, hosted a blood drive at Boston City Hall to honour those affected by last year's tragedy.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been hosting the Muslims for Life Blood Drive nationally since 2011, helping collect over 33,000 pints of blood and potentially saving up to 100,000 lives.

The tragedy of death is met with the gift of life.
