The authorities in Pakistan have been urged to adopt urgent measures to stop faith-based killings and ensure the security of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community.
The call has come from three UN human rights experts following incidents of murder.
Ahmadiyya Muslims are not allowed to practice their faith in the country.
According to the experts, on 13 May, four Ahmadiyya Muslims were arrested by Pakistani police in Sharagpur on blasphemy charges.
After the release of three of the arrested men , one man was kept in detention where he was shot dead by a fifteen-year old teenager.
On 26 May, Mehdi Ali Qamar, an American doctor on a humanitarian mission to Pakistan was murdered by two unknown men while visiting the graves of his relatives.
The UN human rights experts said that seventeen members of the Ahmadiyya community were reportedly killed in 2013.
They urged the authorities in Pakistan to not only ensure the personal security of Ahmadiyya Muslims, but also to bring to justice those people who carried out the killings.

As they say "actions speak louder than words" UNO and other civilised Nations must take some sort of action against Pakistan to force it to do something positive to eliminate the discrimination and persecution of minorities in Pakistan. America can cut off the aid in dollars to Pakistan which is misused anyway.
