India: Bangalore Ahmadiyya Bookstall voted Best at prestigious Science and Technology Exhibition


Hundreds of children from schools and colleges along with their faculty, members of various religious organizations and the general public visited Ahmadiyya bookstall and learned from the materials displayed.

Bookstall of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Bangalore awarded the Best Stall

For the second year in a row the Book Stall of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Bangalore has received the 'Best among all Spiritual Stalls' award at the “Science and Technology Exhibition” organized by the Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Matt.

The recognition was awarded in front of an audience of over 6,000.

The Bangalore Ahmadiyya Muslim community was invited to participate in this 2-day exhibition, Janana – Vignana Mela, organized by the Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Matt on the 19th and 20th of February 2015.

Adichunchanagiri, also called Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Matt, is a religious organization of the Vokkaliga community (Hinduism) in the South Indian State of Karnataka with their main Mutt (Temple) located about 100 km from Bangalore.

To render social services Mutt has educational and other institutions established and run by Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust.

A team of about 15 members from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, along with mebers from Ahmadiyya Elders Association (Majlis Ansarullah) joined Ahmadiyya Missionary In-charge Imam Kaleem Khan to prepare the location and setup the bookstalls.

The team setup an attractive stall displaying banners on the topics covering Quran and Science that were prepared specially to wholly address the context of the occasion.

During the inaugural session of the festival Imam Kaleem Khan presented copies of the Holy Quran and the book World Crisis and Pathway to Peace to the main Seer Sri Sri Sri Nirmalananda Swamiji and other eminent personalities including the chief guest, A S Kiran Kumar the Chairman of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), ISA officers and Scientists.

Hundreds of children from schools and colleges along with their faculty, members of various religious organizations and the general public visited Ahmadiyya bookstall and learned from the materials displayed.

Most of the visitors indicated they were unaware of the glorious teachings found in the Holy Quran. They listened to the presentations with great interests, asking many questions for further explanation.

A very large number of academicians and students got to know about Islam Ahmadiyya and the Ahmadiyya community's efforts for service to humanity.

In the concluding ceremony awards were given out to best participants at the Exhibition and organizers of the Ahmadiyya bookstall were recognized for the "Best Stall among all the Spiritual Stalls" and representatives received the award from Sri Sri Sri Nirmalananda Swamiji before an audience of more than 6,000 participants.
