The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) held a Religious Founders Day at the Baitul-Tauhid Mosque in Huddersfield.
The worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has held peace conferences since 1920, to help relieve the growing tension among different faiths in the Indian sub-continent. Since then it has been celebrated by local Ahmadi communities throughout the world as an opportunity to bring together leaders of different faiths.
This year’s Religious Founders Day was attended by representatives from Sikh, Christian and Hindu religions. Local community groups, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire and MEP of Yorkshire and Humber was also in attendance.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is led by the Caliph, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad - the largest Islamic Caliphate in the world. Since his election to the office in 2003, the Caliph, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad has been leading the global community from their headquarters in London. He has been constantly reminding his followers to be loyal and peaceful servants of Humanity and spread peace. He has repeatedly called on world leaders to bring lasting peace and justice to anyone.
