The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Pittsburgh chapter is hosting Religious Founders Day on Saturday, an interfaith symposium of local faith leaders to discuss the founders of their respective faiths and how their teachings offer solutions to the problems of today.
Dignitaries attending include Wilkinsburg Mayor John Thompson and Jean-Dominique Le Garrec, honorary consul of France in Pittsburgh.
Speakers include Rabbi James A. Gibson of Temple Sinai, Squirrel Hill; Pastor Rita S. Plat of United Methodist Church, Wilkinsburg; Sanjay Mehta of Hindu Jain Temple, Monroeville; Sucha Singh of Pittsburgh Sikh Gurdwara, Monroeville; and Imam Adnan Ahmed of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Wilkinsburg.
The symposium will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in Al-Nur Mosque, 747 South Ave., Wilkinsburg.
