The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Women’s Auxiliary is hosting an Interfaith Symposium on Sunday, March 1st from 3-5 p.m on the topic “Tolerance and Respect of Other Religions.” Speakers from the Christian, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim faiths will be participating. This event is for women only.

The objective of the symposium is to bring women of all faiths together to engage in a meaningful dialogue and infuse mutual understanding between their beliefs. Religions of the world do not preach destruction of peace, but rather a respectful coexistence and brotherhood. The world is under a haze of mistrust that needs to be lifted by understanding how different faiths preach the same lessons of tolerance and respect. Unnecessary criticism and finding faults with others is not the recipe for maintaining peace.

Islam teaches great tolerance and respect of all religions by commanding us to believe in all the Prophets of God before the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This commandment alone shows that Islamic teachings incorporate all the previous faiths and binds Islam to them.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast-growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spans 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, is the first American-Muslim organization.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been at the forefront of trying to create brotherhood and peace by showing tolerance and respect at all levels of society. We believe in the Promised Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad the Reformer of the age (as) who was to gather all faiths and establish peace, love and affection in the world and has done so.

The history of more than a hundred years of the Ahmadiyya Community bears testimony to the fact that we are truly makers and keepers of peace. So please come and join us at this event and let us speak out against the defamation of religions.

The event will run from 3 pm to 5 pm on Sunday March 1st at Baitul Ikraam Mosque, 1850 Hedgcoxe Road in Allen, TX 75013. The program will be followed by a Q/A session and refreshments. Women of all faiths are welcome. Please RSVP Ismat Mahmood at 214-326-9152, or Amtul Rahim at 469-688-0290, email at dallastabligh@lajnausa.net.
