The youth wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya, from Halqa Darus Salam in Qadian held a social service program yesterday and distributed swine flu prevention medicines for the non-Muslim neighbors of their area.

Youth divided themselves in three teams and walked the streets to distribute medicine, brief their neighbors about the deadly disease, and how to take preventive measures for themselves and others.

Area directer of the youth wing Kashif khalid, along with Mushtaq Ahmad and Syed Kaleem Aaamir joined other youth wing members for the program.

The homeopathic remedies distributed by the youth volunteers were originally recommended by His Holiness Mirza Mansoor Ahmad, the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community who resides in London.

Swine flu, also known as H1N1 influenza, has killed nearly 1,800 people in India this year, while the number of persons affected by the H1N1 virus exceeded 29,000 as of 13 March, according to the India's health ministry.
