Pakistan: Ahmadi cousin of Nobel laureate Abdus Salam gunned down in Nankana Sahib


He was on his way to a local court on bike along with his son Advocate Farhan, when they were targeted and shot at by unidentified attackers.

Attackers fired from behind

The cousin of Nobel laureate Abdus Salam, Advocate Malik Saleem Latif, was gunned down on Thursday morning in Nankana Sahib, said police. He was a member of the Ahmadi community.

Advocate Latif was a local leader of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiya in Nankana city.

He was on his way to a local court on bike along with his son Advocate Farhan, when they were targeted and shot at by unidentified attackers.

Latif's son informed Dawn that the attackers fired at them from behind.
