A muslim youth group leader is fundraising for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity by doing a 6.4km run.

Moonis Nasir, who runs the Norbury chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA), will tackle the run at the Emirates Stadium on March 13.

AMYA donated £75,000 to Humanity First’s Haiti relief efforts.

The Norbury chapter raised £425 for the same cause earlier this month, during a one-day collection at a local supermarket.

Although AMYA is a faith-based youth group, Mr Nasir said:“Anybody can join in. With fundraising, we encourage support from as many people as possible.”
