House of Representatives Commission VIII overseeing religious affairs plan to hold a hearing with National Police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo and Religious Affairs Minister Suryadharma Ali on Thursday, regarding over the deadly Ahmadiyah attack in Cikeusik, Banten.

"We will be questioning them about the performance of the police and the Religious Affairs Ministry in this case," Commission VIII chairman Abdul Kadir Karding said at the House building in Jakarta on Tuesday, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

"We want to get to the very bottom of this case," Kadir said, adding that he would also ask Suryadharma Ali to act more wisely as a minister.

"The minister cannot simply disband Ahmadiyah [as a sect]," Kadir said.
