Canada: Ahmadiyya Muslim community sponsors interfaith symposium in Sydney, Nova Scotia

The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Canada, Malik Lal Khan were also present at this occasion. Mr Khan represented Islam and spoke on the topic Freedom of Conscience and gave the Islamic point of view in this regards.

Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Sydney Nova Scotia organized their Interfaith Symposium on Nov 1st 2011.

The symposium was entitles Freedom of Conscience and speakers from different religions were invited to talk on the topic from their respective religion's view.

Speakers from Christianity, Mi'kmaq, Sikhism and Islam presented their point of view on the topic given.

The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Canada, Malik Lal Khan were also present at this occasion.

Mr Khan represented Islam and spoke on the topic Freedom of Conscience and gave the Islamic point of view in this regards.


The community thanked Steve Sutherland who moderated the whole function and helped in its success by providing his precious time.

The community also thanked Sean Demeyere who represented Christianity and also allowed the use of the  Main area of the Church of Jesus Christ for this function.

The community appreciated the participation by Gurdev Singh Jolly, representative of Sikism; and Merdena Marshall who represented Mi'kmaq community.

The members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Sydney- Nova Scotia along with their president Dr. Momin Khalifa played a great role in organizing the Interfaith Symposium.
