India: Eid-ul-Adhea celebrated with warmth

"When a man surrenders completely to God, then his own life, and the blood of his friends and relatives will seem trivial to him. God will never fail to reward the sacrifices of the good-hearted."

Bakrid celebrated with warmth

KOCHI: "Purity of heart is the greatest sacrifice and you should sacrifice yourself in the path of God, just as how you sacrifice animals, Maualavi M Nisar Ahmed said in Kodiyathoor on Monday.

Nisar Ahmad was speaking after the festival ‘Namaaz’, organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama-at at Ummar Masjid on the North St Benedict Road.

"When a man surrenders completely to God," Nisar Ahmad says, "then his own life, and the blood of his friends and relatives will seem trivial to him."

"God will never fail to reward the sacrifices of the good-hearted."

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama-at organised ‘Bakrid Namaaz’ at many other areas including Vazhakala, Kochi, Palluthuruthy, Airapuram, Kodungalloor and Muvattupuzha.

After the Namaaz, animal sacrifice was carried-out and the food distributed to the poor, the organisation said in a press statement.
