Bangladesh: 88th Annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Convention Begins in Dhaka

Some fanatic clerics are protesting the peaceful programs without any logic and hence many peace loving people are not benefiting from the reformer of this age.

A three days Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Bangladesh has began yesterday at the community’s National Headquarters in Dhaka with emphasis on preaching "the real teachings of the Holy Quran and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (SAW)."

Moulana Mahmud Ahmad, who is representing the supreme Head of the world‐wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, inaugurated the convention.

In his speech, Moulana Mahmud said that in the last Century Khilafat was reestablished through the process of ``Khilafat Ala Minhagin Nabu‐at’’ to continue His works.

“Therefore obeying the Khilafat of the time is mandatory for all, Moulana Mahmud said.


He urged all to come to 'the right path of Islam.'

In the inaugural speech, Bangladesh National Ameer Mobasher‐Ur Rahman said many Ahmadies and non Ahmadies from different parts of the country have attended in this august gathering for peace and tranquility.

The real picture of Islam and its teaching including the advent of Hazrat Imam Mahdi (AS), said Mobasher‐Ur Rahman, are spreading all over the world through Ahmadiyya Muslim community in an organized way.

Some fanatic clerics, said the Ahmadiyya national president, are protesting the peaceful programs without any logic and hence many peace loving people are not benefiting from the reformer of this age.

Mawlana Imdadur Rahman Siddiki and Mawlana Abdul Awal Khan Chowdhury also spoke in the inaugural session.

 Mawlana Siddiki highlighted the very existence of great Allah and His manifestation and Mawlana Chowdhury talked on the glory and divine beauty of the holy Quran.

According to the information released the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, over 7,000 attendees  from all over the country attended the convention.

Moreover, representatives from Canada, Australia, Germany, India and Pakistan also attended, the community said.

Khalifa of Islam, His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad,  the world‐wide spiritual head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community will deliver his concluding speech.

His Holiness, after his address on Sunday, February 5 will lead a collective silent prayer, seeking the divine blessings and tranquility from God Almighty for the world of Islam and the humanity at large.
