Republican Turks Party (CTP) deputy Arif Albayrak arrived at the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) on a donkey on Monday in protest of rising oil prices and a recent government decision to purchase new cars.
Addressing the press outside of the building, Albayrak said he wanted to protest the continued rising fuel and gasoline prices, along with a recent Cabinet decision to have the government buy new cars for ministers.
Following the press statement, the lawmaker left the scene with the donkey, who had a license plate hanging around its neck.
