Local area extremists blocked Ahmadis from entering their homes and attacked the residences
Attacks on Ahmadiyah community occurred today near their settlement of Kampung Cisalada.
According to VIVA News, several houses belonging to Ahmadiyah community were destroyed and the glass structures were left shattered with stones and other hard objects thrown at them.
Islamic hardliners from local residents blocked the road to the location of the Ahmadiyah community residences with bamboos, wood blocks and stones, the VIVA News further reported.
The goal is, VIVA News observes, that no one of Ahmadiyah community be allowed in and out of the settlement.
Police and military officials who want to enter into the village of Ahmadiyah community settlements were confronted by the extremist residents.
However, there were some officers who eventually entered and secured the Ahmadis settlement of Cisalada and reported that the atmosphere was tense throughout this afternoon.
Extremists still swarmed the alleyways and, in the meantime, officers continued to patrol the site with added troops.
As of last reporting, no news of relief in tension was coming out from police and residents.
