SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Two Muslim brothers from Orcutt, California hand out flyers for an international campaign against extremism called "Muslims For Peace" to encourage tolerance and understanding.

After the violent anti-American protests continue across the Middle East, Osaama and Tahla Saifi decided to visit Santa Maria Town Center Mall to let people know what they see on TV or in videos doesn't represent the Muslim community as a whole.

They say the anti-Islamic film "Innocence of Muslims" doesn't depict Muslims in a true light and they reject the violent protests it has sparked.

"The response has been pretty positive," says Tahla Saifi.

"I already talked to a couple of people and they're like telling me -- finally someone's spoken out and condemned these attacks, you know, someone's got to say something."

The brothers are a part of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community which has a small population in Santa Maria.
