Pakistan: Ahmadi man shot and injured in Karachi listed in fair condition

An Ahmadī man is shot and injured in Orangi Town area of Karachi, in the southern province of Sind, Pakistan.

Victim, identified as Syes Naseer Alam Shah, was riding a bicycle on his way to work yesterday when he was attacked by unknown assailant(s), it has been reported.

Victim received two gunshot wounds to his face leaving a major damage to his facial structure.

The first gunshot hit Shah on one side of the face and the bullet exited from the other side, it was reported.

Further according to the information, the second shot hit the victim from the other side of his face and the bullet got lodged in his jaw.

Victim was reported conscious and under his own control when police arrived.

Police arranged for victim’s transport to the hospital where the bullet was surgically removed.

Victim is off ventilator and reported in fair condition.

Memeber of Ahmadiyya Muslims community are regularly targeted in Pakistan because of their faith and many have lost their lives, while Ahmadi properties are routinely looted, places of worship defaced, and graveyards vandalized.
