The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA)of Sheffield joined volunteers from across Sheffield to raise funds for Typhoon appeal along with British Red Cross.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim youth association (AMYA) of Sheffield joined hands with the British Red Cross to raise funds for the millions of victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Members collected charity donations with the British Red Cross at Sheffield Train station on Wednesday, 27th November 2013.
The aim of the Ahmadiyya youth association is to work towards community building on a local level but also to respond to international disasters.
The local AMYA president in Sheffield, Shahzad Ahmed, said that the response from people was amazing and donations were made.
“We are honored to have joined hands with British Red Cross in this great cause and plan to continue to work with them in future events,” Shahzad Ahmed stated.
The British Red Cross team appreciated the participation of AMYA of Sheffield.
Further charity collection sessions have been planned for December 2013.
