Ahmadiyyas flourishing in Pak despite restrictions: Community leader
On the second day of the international annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community at Qadian in Gurdaspur district, many Ahmadiyya scholars addressed the gathering on Saturday.


The convention, presided over by Sayeed Tanveer Ahmad, secretary, Wakfe Nau Qadian, began with the recitation of the holy verse from the Quran.

Maulana Mirza Mohammad Din Naaz, additional secretary, Talim Ul Qauran Wakfe Arzee Rabwa, Pakistan, threw light on the comrades of Hazrat Masih Mayood, adding the comrades of Masih Mehdi were not only noble but also divine creatures.

"They had no longing for worldly possessions. They always remained in deep meditation of the Almighty Allah," he said.

In his speech, Molana Mohammad Inayyat Uhlah, secretary, Islah-o-Irshad, and in-charge of the convention, said despite several restrictions on the Ahmadiyyas in Pakistan, the community was fast flourishing all over the world, including Pakistan.

He said the community had spread in 204 countries of the world and had its own electronic media channel called Muslim Television Ahmadiyya.

He lauded the community for running many schools, colleges and hospitals in different countries, adding that the community had the honour of translating the Quran in hundreds of languages.

Maulana Kareem Udeen Shahid, principal, Jamiya Ahmadiyya, said the Quran was a complete book which had solution to all the problems with illustrations. He stressed that the Quran preached love for humanity and mutual respect.

Women of the Ahmadiyya community observed the proceedings of the convention in an adjoining pandal.

The activities were displayed on big electronic screens. The organisers had made arrangements of live translation of all the speeches in the convention in Rathsian, Tamil, English, Malayalam, Bengali etc. Members of the community from several African and Arab countries were also present at the convention in large numbers.
