Pakistani Christian, once sentenced to death for blasphemy, released from prison

Eight months after his acquittal, Younis Masih, a Pakistani Christian imprisoned since 2005 on blasphemy charges and once sentenced to death, has been released from jail.
“Christians in Pakistan fear threats, attacks, violence, discrimination and hatred,” his attorney told the Fides news agency.
“The law of blasphemy is always a sword of Damocles hanging over their heads: their life is not safe even after their release from prison.”
