A Bradford delegation travelled to London yesterday as part of centenary celebrations of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Britain.
Events will be held until the summer to mark the 100th year of the community, which started in the UK in July 1913 and promotes a message of peace and harmony. In Bradford there is a triple celebration as the city’s branch celebrates 50 years and recently marked the fifth anniversary of Mahdi Mosque in Undercliffe.
The community hosted The Conference of World Religions at the Guildhall in London where the head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spoke alongside other faith leaders.
President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association for Bradford North Dr Mohammed Iqbal attended with others from the mosque.
