UK: Fartown hosts Interfaith Cricket event as council relaunches

Huddersfield Interfaith Council has hosted a community cricket tournament in Fartown.

And the event was the first since the newly re-formed council and Kiran Bali has been elected President.

Kiran said: “The friendly cricket match was a prime opportunity to embrace people from all communities. The focus was on relationship building and sporting spirit towards community cohesion.”

Following the match, refreshments were provided at the nearby Ahmadiyya Muslim association mosque where participants had a tour of the mosque and a learning experience.
