UK: Ahmadi Muslim Children join peace march through Hounslow
Schoolchildren gave a rousing speech during the Hounslow People's Peace Parade, calling for an end to war, poverty, slavery and other injustices worldwide

Children led the rallying cries as more than 200 people marched through Hounslow demanding an end to war, slavery and poverty.
Hounslow mayor Corinna Smart and the borough's MPs Mary Macleod and Seema Malhotra joined participants young and old in the first Hounslow People's Peace Parade on Saturday (March 21).

Children from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community also read out a poem in the square about peace, and there was African and Asian drumming by members of DNH. The day ended with a song for peace, led by Shakti Sings Choir, at the Sikh temple.
Organiser Mary-Ellen Archer, who is the ex-chairman of DNH, said she was delighted by the turnout. She has invited children from across the borough to submit stories, songs, poems and artwork inspired by peace to feature in another event this September.
