After giving away nearly 700 frosty treats to kids near W. North and Pennsylvania Ave. following Baltimore's riots, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Baltimore is planning to give out more free ice cream across the city.

The group said it plans to hand out ice cream at 18 city parks over the next 18 days "to spread the message of #LoveForAllHatredForNone," a statement said. The group started handing out ice cream to children after violent protests after the death of Freddie Gray who was fatally injured last month while in police custody.

"While, we may not be able to fix all the problems in our city, as people of faith, we must do our part and spread some love. That's what it's all about," said Faheem Younus, Baltimore president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA, in a statement.

Volunteers will also "extend their personal greetings of love and friendship to the community members," the statement said.

The organization was founded in 1920 and is among the oldest American-Muslim organizations, according to the statement.
