Chino, California: Religious groups to pray for rain in mosque ceremony
Prayers to God in times of drought have been a fixture of religious life across all faiths since mankind first believed in a Higher Power.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Los Angeles Chapter will hold an interfaith “Prayer for Rain” on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Imam Zafarullah Hanjra of Baitul Hameed Mosque will perform the Prayer for Rain in the Islamic faith, and there will also be brief presentations by representatives of the different faiths on praying for rain.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Mosque will be joined by people of other faiths in this non-denominational prayer effort to call on God’s help and mercy in easing California’s years-long drought. An official interfaith “Prayer-for-Rain” event is tentatively set for Sat., June 20th as well.

Prayers to God in times of drought have been a fixture of religious life across all faiths since mankind first believed in a Higher Power. And faith traditions use the answering of prayers for rain as a Sign that God exists and that He does answer our prayers in times of need and distress.
