Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz, O.B.E, has been honoured with the award of "K.B.E" by Her Majesty the Queen.
The London Gazette of 13 June has reported that, "THE QUEEN has been graciously pleased, on the occasion of the Celebration of Her Majesty's Birthday, and on the advice of Her Majesty's Tuvalu Ministers, to give orders for the promotion in the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, and honoured Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz with "K.B.E" (Knight Commander of the Excellent Order of the British Empire)."
As a Knight, Iftikhar Ayaz has the title SIR. As such, he will be from now on: Sir Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz, KBE, OBE.
