HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The Muslim community here says its urging continued calm at the one week anniversary of the San Bernardino attack that left 14 dead and 17 injured.
"We condemn this senseless and horrific act of violence in the strongest possible terms," said the Muslim community of greater Houston. "Our community has been in the USA for over 90 years and are deeply disturbed over the recent attack."
Also disturbing to the Muslim community here, Donald Trump's recent remarks about a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.
"What disturbed me the most in that rally that Donald Trump addressed is that when he mentioned that we should limit Muslims from entering the United States there were a great number of people who actually clapped at what he was saying," said Dr. Amir Malik. "So my concern is there is a segment of the population that probably thinks the same way Donald Trump thinks so my message to everyone we as Muslims get it we understand there is a problem."
Muslims her say they want all Houstonians to know they share the same basic beliefs. To kill an innocent person is like killing all mankind.
