"In the fabric of the Constitution of the United States, there's no room for such remarks as banning people from entering the country as a group of people."

In the past few weeks, there's been a rise of attacks or harassment of Muslims, like recent vandalism outside a Cooper City Islamic School.

In the wake of the terror attack in California, the imam at Baitul Naseer Mosque in Hallandale Beach has a message for his congregants, and the greater Muslim community.

"We should get together and stand against these terrorist organizations and groups as true and loyal citizens of the United States of America," Imam Mohammad Saaed said.

American Muslims have been targets lately. Targets of vandalism at mosques, targets of threats and hate speech, ever since the Jihadist terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino.

"We cannot let fear drive us," said Dr. Khalid Minhas with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. "If we get afraid, we will let those terrorists win."

The members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said the harsh anti-Muslim rhetoric spouted by some presidential candidates not only feeds the propaganda machines of ISIS and al-Qaeda, it fuels backlash against American Muslims.

"In the fabric of the Constitution of the United States, there's no room for such remarks as banning people from entering the country as a group of people," Minhas said.

The terrorists who committed these atrocities claim to kill in the name of Islam. That infuriates the members of the community, and they want everyone to know ISIS doesn't speak for them.

"They cherry pick certain versus from the Quran and use it to their advantage," Minhas said. "We believe in justice, we believe in fairness, we believe in humanity, we believe in coexistence."
