More than 80 young Muslims have taken to the streets of Kingston to clean up following the festivities.

On New Year’s Day volunteers from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association worked their way across the borough picking up litter on the streets.

The clean-up is one of a number of initiatives that AMYA set up over the Christmas period to give something back to the community.

They also collected money for UNICEF and exchanged gifts and greetings to the elderly on Christmas Eve.

The cleaning initiative is carried out under 'Muslims for Humanity' campaign run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of UK. http://www.muslimsforhumanity.org.uk/.
