British Muslims are coming together for the ‘Mercy for Mankind’ ten Kilometere run.

The flagship event hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association UK will take place on April 16 in Hyde Park, London.

It seeks to raise money for various UK charities and also raise awareness about the true message and character of the Prophet Muhammad.

Spokesperson Surfraz Mustafa said: “The Charity Challenge is not only our opportunity to show love for this country but also demonstrate how faith and nationality can go hand in hand, there being no conflict between being British and Muslim.”

Mayor of London Boris Johnson praised the community’s efforts saying: “I applaud the efforts of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to strive for peace and to build bridges between diverse communities.”
