Australia: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community wishes happy Ramadhan to all

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia will start observing Ramadhan, the Holy month of fasting, from tomorrow, June 7, 2016. The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia Imam Inamul Haq Kauser said:

“Ramadhan is the holiest month in the Muslim calendar. It is a month in which God Almighty revealed the Holy Quran to the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him). More than one billion Muslims living in different countries and continents from diverse background and cultures will observe fasting to gain righteousness and nearness to God Almighty. Fasting has been a common practice of all religions and to this day it is observed in all cultures and faiths in different ways. It teaches self-control, discipline, and inspires awareness of those who are less fortunate.”

Imam Kauser said:

“Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia will have Iftaar (breaking-the-fast) arrangements in all of its mosques in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Members of the general public are most welcome to join us.”  He said, “I urge Australian Ahmadi Muslims to invite their Muslim and non-Muslim friends and neighbours to their homes to have shared Iftaars as sharing is the real spirit of this Holy month.”
